Programs

Opportunities for professional development are offered to high school physics teachers throughout the year by CIPT. High school students enrolled in physics classes are invited to explore college physics each fall.

Workshops

Annual Spring and Fall workshops are held for high school physics teachers at Cornell University. Other workshops are held throughout the United States.

Resources

To enhance professional development opportunites, CIPT offers labs and activities for use in high school physics classes as well as equipment to conduct the labs.

Labs

Teams of high school teachers and Cornell University scientists collaborate to develop hands-on inquiary-based labs. Currently there are 23 labs in PDF available for downloading by any teacher.

Equipment Lending Library

Most CIPT-developed labs are supported by equipment to conduct the lab. CIPT-trained teachers may use the equipment free of charge.
