Opportunities for professional development are offered to high school physics teachers throughout the year by CIPT.
Annual Spring and Fall workshops are held for high school physics teachers at Cornell University. Other workshops are held throughout the United States.
Selected program presentations are available in Past Programs.

PHYS 6501 Class of 2011
To enhance professional development opportunites, CIPT offers labs and activities for use in high school physics classes as well as equipment to conduct the labs.
Teams of high school teachers and Cornell University scientists collaborate to develop hands-on inquiry-based labs. Currently there are over 40 labs in PDF available for to any teacher. NOTE: Parts lists and assembly directions are listed under each lab as they become available.
NEW! The following labs are now available in Spanish:
AFM, DNA and the Diffraction of Light, Foutan Board, Notebook Circuits, Water Analogy to Electric Circuits, and the Phantastic Photon.
Exploring Wave Phenomena
Most CIPT-developed labs are supported by equipment to conduct the lab. CIPT-trained teachers may use the equipment free of charge.
